MAC Snowball Pigment Set

Saturday, December 02, 2017

There's no denying it, this year MAC have outdone themselves this year with their stunning Christmas 'Snowball' collection. Featuring a stunning range of products all encased in beautiful sparkly packaging, I was so excited to check out the range for myself.

Last year I picked up the nude lip bag from their Christmas collection and always regretted the fact I never tried their pigment sets. So this year, I made sure to purchase their Gold Pigment Set, featuring two pigments and one glitter, packaged in a beautiful mini rose gold bag.

The first pigment of the three is Vanilla, which I'm sure is quite a renowned MAC pigment so one I was excited to try. Vanilla provides the most stunning inner corner highlight you have ever seen! It has definitely become my essential highight shade for eyes.

The other pigment is English Gilt, I would describe it as a gold-brown shade and it's really pretty on the lid. I think it would be wearabe for wearable for everyday if I'm honest as well as being really pretty dressed up at night. It's a really versatile shade and would match with a number of looks because of how neutral it is.

However the real star of the show is the Gold glitter it comes with, a really true sparkly gold. I would definitely recommend using a glitter primer with this (I opted for NYX's) and being very careful... the first time I used it, it ended up all over my face! It's definitely easier to put this on the eyes before you begin your face makeup so it doesn't get stuck to foundation.

The gold glitter is absolutely stunning to wear on the lid for an evening/event look, it's really striking and adds some glitz and glamour to your look. Plus, when would be better to wear it than over the Christmas season? I feel like it's perfect for this time of year and makes me feel so festive.

The bag it comes in is also really pretty, I am so happy the pigments came in a rose gold bag (the lipstick sets come in silver) because I have a little bit of a rose gold obsession so I'm glad it matches. It's fairly small so it would really be difficult to use for travelling or anything but it does look really pretty sat next to my makeup.

At only £25 I think MAC's pigment set is such a steal, whether you're getting it for someone as a present, or for yourself as I did! What Christmas sets are you impressed with this year?
