I'm Pinterest Obsessed!?
Tuesday, September 29, 2015
Recently I have been loving the app Pinterest. I used to not really undestand the Pinterest interface, prefering We Heart It for finding images; an app that I have used for over two years and I am very familiar with.
I've read many posts that explain the benefits Pinterest has for bloggers. Although I haven't figured out exactly how this app is supposed to help my blog yet (maybe I'll write a post about it myself if I ever do work it out), I got inspired to create an account and jump into the world of Pinterest.
For those of you who don't know, Pinterest is an app/website on which you create 'boards'. You search for photos tagged with whatever you desire and 'pin' your favourite photos to each board. You can have different boards for different things - mine include beauty, fashion, quotes and autumn.
I found this idea very similar to We Heart It's collections, on which you 'heart' images to.
Here are a few images I have pinned lately that I love - a mixture of beauty, room decor, quotes and autumn themed images;
Do you use Pinterest? Let me know your username in the comments, because I haven't been using it for so long I don't follow may people! Also make sure you are following me on Pinterest - my username is everythingxerin.

She's Kinda Hot - 5 Seconds Of Summer
I am so excited for 5SOS's new album and of what I've heard so far I think it will be amazing! Money, Jet Black Heart and Fly Away are all album tracks already available on Spotify that I am loving too.
On My Mind - Ellie Goulding
On My Mind is so catchy! I love Ellie's music so I am also excited to hear her new music also. I have been playing On My Mind practically all the time since it was released last week.
Good Times - Ella Eyre
I wish this song was big in the summer because I think it would be the perfect summer anthem! Regardless, I'm really like it now and it always manages to put me in a happy mood.
What Do You Mean - Justin Bieber
Drag Me Down - One Direction
I have of course been loving One Direction's new track recently! I've been listening to all their music since I'm going to see them in two weeks but Drag Me Down in particular has been played lots recently!
Let me know your current top songs in the comments!
The Common Teenage Girl Tag
Thursday, September 17, 2015
Recently the lovely Meet Me In Melford tagged me to do the Common Teenage Girl Tag, thank you so much! The questions sounded really interesting and I've not done a tag in a while so I thought I would do one today.
1) Favourite Starbucks drink?
I have only been to Starbucks once a very long time ago and can't even remember what I had then, so I don't have a favourite!
2) How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Usually an hour, probably because I waste loads of time on my phone, haha
3) How many selfies do you take on a daily basis?
I only really take selfies if I'm wearing something nice or I'm with my friends, I don't take them on a 'daily basis'
4) How many IG followers and posts do you have?
Currently I have 308 followers and 75 posts, you can follow me here!
5) Do you ever say LOL or OMG out loud?
No...
6) How many tweets do you have?
Currently 8,850; I've had it a long time though!
7) Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr?
Instagram definitely is the most interesting! I only use Twitter see tweets of my favourite bands and I just don't really understand tumblr.
8) What do you spend most of your time doing?
Writing blog posts, listening to music, watching YouTube and drawing.
9) Who are your favourite YouTubers?
Zoella and Tom Fletcher (he vlogs so he counts even if he is in my favourite band too haha)
10) How often do you do your nails?
Hardly ever because we are not allowed painted nails for school.
11) Are you a shopaholic?
I really enjoy going shopping so I'll say yes!
12) How many times have you watched Mean Girls?
Never! :/ Let me know in the comments if I'm missing out or not!
13) Do you own a lot of clothes?
Probably, I just love buying t-shirts haha
14) Do you take pictures of food before you eat it?
No, not really.
15) Do you wear make up everyday?
During the week, no because we are not allowed makeup at school. However at the weekend I do tend to wear it.
16) What are your average grades in school?
I've recently started year 10, so grades are different in keystage 4 and we've not done any tests yet. However I finished year 9 with mainly 7b/7as.
17) How do you usually style your hair?
At school we must have it in a pony tail. At the weekends I do a half up, half down style basically.
18) Do you always look presentable?
I like to think so!
Thank you so much for Meet Me In Melford again for nominating me because her blog is great! You should all go and follow it because she deserves way more followers!
*The photo of Zoe & Tom is of course not my own, although I added the text :)
Geek Girl: All That Glitters | Book Review
Thursday, September 10, 2015
Because the Geek Girl series by Holly Smale are possibly my all-time favourite books to read, I've been waiting for the release of the fourth story on paperback since I finished the third one.
You can imagine my excitement when it finally came out late August. I read it straight away and wouldn't put it down.
For those who haven't read the first three books, the Geek Girl book series now consists of four books written by Holly Smale and is taken from the point of view of Harriet Manners, who inside school is called "Geek" by her bullies, but outside of school travels around the world as a model.
In All That Glitters, Harriet starts sixth form after a magical but heart-breaking trip to New York which you can read about in the previous book. Her best (and only) friend Nat has gone off to fashion college and her 'stalker' Toby is ignoring her. To make matters worse, her nemesis Alexa is watching her every move. Will Harriet be able to fit in and make new friends?
Harriet is such a likeable character and the storyline of All That Glitters is laugh-out-loud hilarious but also sad towards the end. In this book, her friendship with Nat takes a back seat as Harriet attempts to make new friends. I was really impressed with the ending of the book, which I'll leave you to read as I like to leave my reviews as spoiler free as possible! My only disappointment with All That Glitters is the absence of Nick (Harriet's boyfriend in the first three books). I always enjoyed reading about their relationship so I missed it in this book, however the cute flashbacks almost make up for it.
I would definitely recommend you check out the whole series of Geek Girl books by Holly Smale because they are such fun reads! I don't think All That Glitters is my favourite book of the series, that would go to Picture Perfect (book three), probably because I love the New York setting!
Leave me some suggestions to read in the comments and make sure to follow me on bloglovin' to be updated when I post!
My Instagram Diary | September 2015
Monday, September 07, 2015

Today I'm back with another Instagram diary!
The last time I did one was in June, so I thought it was about time to do another one. I will be sharing a few of my favourite photos I have uploaded in the last two months or so. I am a huge fan of having an Instagram theme, and my theme has changed a lot since my last Instagram diary. I found this video by Claudia Sulewksi very helpful.
♡♡

A photo I took a month earlier than I posted it - my view of London, on a bus outside Oxford Circus Station.

A rainy day in England - every day.

My new Hollister jeans paired with frilly white socks.

A photo I took at McBusted of Danny! Getting barrier at their show was an amazing experience.

A cloudy view from the window on the way to my holiday.

My gorgeous sea view from the villa I stayed in on holiday.

Some beautiful palm trees and boats I saw on my holiday in Portugal.

Finally, I shared a couple of photos from when I met Tom & Dougie from McFly. These photos make me very happy!
Update : New Blog Design & Schedule
Thursday, September 03, 2015
Today I have given my blog a fresh new look. I'm still using the same template (Watermark Blogger template, for those wondering) because I'm still very happy with it, but as you can see, I have a new header, a new background and some of the sidebar items (including the about me and my social media links) are different! I feel so much happier about my new blog look and I hope you like it too.
Since I have recently hit the 200 followers mark on Bloglovin', I decided I really want to post more often than I usually do. However, I think I could only possibly do this if I had a schedule, otherwise I'd forget or procrastinate! So, every Tuesday and Thursday you will be getting a new blogpost from me!
So that's about is for my update post; a new design and new schedule! Let me know if you like it in the comments!
August Favourites
Tuesday, September 01, 2015
Where has the summer gone?
Today is the 1st of September. I'm writing about my August favourites. ALREADY. I go back to school in only two days! The summer has been a complete blur. What have I been enjoying throughout it?
Beauty - MAC Lipstick in Patisserie
Beauty wise, I have been loving my MAC lipstick in the shade Patisserie. I bought it at the end of last month and how could I not include it in this month's favourites? It is such a beautiful lipstick shade, feels so good on my lips and lasts a long time too!
Ray-Ban Sunglasses
I
have also loved my new Ray-Ban sunglasses I bought on holiday. I love
the style of them - my other sunglasses are Wayfarers, but these are the
Rayban Erika style. They are more rounded than Wayfarers and I really
like that. I have really enjoyed wearing them whilst I was on holiday,
and also the ocassional sunny day in England too.
App - QuizUp
I actually have an app favourite this month, and it is the game QuizUp. I first saw this app in a video by Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr. The game looked really fun so I decided to give it a go myself. As the title of the app suggests, it is a quiz game. There are a huge variety of categories, from films, music and logos (I personally play the One Direction quiz the most!). You can play againist friends or the app selects a random opponent for you. I think QuizUp is really addictive and lots of fun!
Music - McBusted
My music favourite has to be McBusted. This month I saw them live and was lucky enough to be at the barrier, so close to the boys! I have already made a whole blogpost about my experience here so I won't ramble on about it too much, but it is certainly an experience I won't forget in a hurry!
Drag Me Down - One Direction
I have also been loving One Direction's new single Drag Me Down this month! I'm going to see them in October, just over a month away now (it feels so crazy saying that!) so no doubt you'll hear about their concert then. I love the new sound of Drag Me Down and cannot wait for the album!
Book - The Dinosaur That Pooped The Bed
I've also already talked about my book favourites in my previous blogpost, three fiction books I've read this summer, however I have a special mention for The Dinosaur That Pooped The Bed, the fourth story in the children's book series by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Poynter.I know, this is not my usual choice of book, but it is wrote by half of my favourite band McFly! They did a book signing in Manchester last Friday, the day after the release of the new book, and I was lucky enough to go and meet them! Only 20 days after I saw them front row in concert, I met Tom and Dougie themselves, which I never expected would happen! They were lovely people and I had the best day, even though we had to queue for over 3 hours!
Let me know your favourites in the comments below! I'm also hoping to revamp my blog a little bit soon so stay tuned for that!
