McBusted's Most Excellent Adventure Tour || Concert Review

Sunday, March 22, 2015

Last night (21st March) I went to see McBusted perform at the Manchester arena. *This blogpost will contain spoilers to what happens on their tour so I would advise you don't read if you want a suprise when you go to see them.* Their album has definitely grown on me a lot since I first bought it... at first I only liked a couple of songs but now I like all but one! I was so excited to see them perform live again as I knew they would be great live - I've been to see McFly at their Keep Calm Play Louder 2012 tour and McBusted last year - and they failed to dissapoint me.
But was the second McBusted tour better than the first?

I honestly didn't know how this tour was going to better the last. Last year they had a UFO B-Stage, they entered in a Delorean (Back To The Future idea) and the little video clips were hilarious. What were they going to add this year to make it better?

McBusted came on stage in an arcade game theme. On the screens it selected a different player (each member of the band), and they came appeared on stage over a coloured spotlight and it looked really good. They started the set with Air Guitar and it was fantastic. They then did Hate Your Guts - a song which I'm still not the hugest fan of but it has grown on me and I did find myself singing along. They then performed One For The Radio which I hoped they would play as it is one of my favourite songs and I especially love it live. It was amazing and I'm so happy Tom and Danny still sung all of their parts! Don't worry McFly fans, Busted didn't 'ruin it' like some people I heard were worried about!

My favourite part of the concert was when they were on the
B-Stage. The UFO was amazing last year so I was so happy when I saw there would be another B-Stage this year. Having a B-Stage in an arena is such a good idea for the people further to the back of the arena. This year I was sat on the right side of the arena and had a really good view of the B-Stage. They came onto the B-Stage in another Delorean car and performed Air Hostess, What I Go To School For, Obviously and Beautiful Girls Are The Lonliest. I absolutely loved Obviously, being a McFly song of course, but Beautiful Girls Are The Lonliest (a McBusted track) was possibly my favourite moment of the whole show. Tom, Matt, Dougie and Harry had left the B-Stage leaving just James and Danny on their guitars and it was fantastic. The crowd put their lights on their phones and the floor of the B-Stage was covered in dry ice which looked like clouds so it was truly magical.

They also played quite a few McFly songs towards the end - All About You, Star Girl (my favourite song ever), Five Colours In Her Hair and Shine A Light so in total they sang 6 McFly songs (the same amount as the last tour), 6 McBusted songs and 7 Busted songs. The show definitely made me remember how much I love them and how much I love seeing them live. Was it as good as the last tour? Yes, it was as good, maybe not better, but it definitely did equal it.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on any concerts that you've been to in the comments below; especially if you have been to see McFly or McBusted! I would definitely reccommend going to see them on tour as at a McBusted show it is so fun. It's not just the music at their concerts but the amazing production that goes into it. Thank you for reading and if you are going to see McBusted this tour, have fun!

LIVESOS - 5 Seconds Of Summer || Review

Thursday, March 19, 2015

Today I am going to be reviewing one of my favourite albums at the moment, LIVESOS by 5 Seconds Of Summer. This is a live cd which includes many songs off the 5 Seconds Of Summer album or B-Sides. It was recorded when they played in Los Angeles at The Forum. I was quite excited when I heard they were doing a live cd as seeing them support One Direction on both the Take Me Home and the Where We Are tour so I am without a doubt impressed with their live album. 5 Seconds Of Summer are definitely a good live band and you can really tell that none of their songs are autotuned by this cd.

Because most of the songs on the album I'd already heard, I already knew what my favourite songs would be. My favourites are 18, Disconnected and Everything I Didn't Say just because they are my favourite 5 Seconds Of Summer songs anyway.
Apart from them I also love the live versions of Out Of My Limit, Long Way Home and Amnesia especially.
I am also obsessed with What I Like About You and although I do actually prefer it live, I'm so happy they included a studio version of it too. I love the way it starts with the crowd cheering, it really excited me for the song!

A photo of Ashton taken when I saw them support One Direction on the Where We Are Tour

My only disapointment of the album is it doesn't include Don't Stop?! I was so shocked to not see it on the track list since it is one of their singles and also my favourite of the songs they have released so it was a shame to not see it there.
I also really like the fact they kept some of the parts where they speak to the crowd parts at the beginning of some of the tracks as it made the live disc feel like in a way, you were really there and they were interacting with you.

I hope you enjoyed my post and it encouraged you to listen to 5 Seconds Of Summer! Honestly before I started listening to their music I didn't really like them but I am into them quite a lot now so I'd love to hear your thoughts on them in the comments! Thank you for reading,

Three Favourite Lip Products

Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Hey guys! Today I am going to be showing you my favourite 3 lip products I have been using at the moment. They are all quite different - different types and different brands, so there is something for everyone.

First of all I have been loving my Seventeen lip crayon. I have owned this a while now but never decided to really use it until recently and I have no idea why! I love the fact it gives my lips a hint of colour but, because it is a crayon, it doesn't feel really wet and sticky so I don't get my hair stuck to it! My only problem is it does dry my lips a little being a crayon, but that's probably just because I have quite dry lips anyway. If you are like me you could apply a little layer of lip balm before applying the crayon and it will be fine.

I also love my Tanya Burr lip gloss. I have it in the shade 'Afternoon Tea' which is a really nice light pink colour and it is really nice on your lips. I have read quite a few opinions of this shade saying it's too pale but I actually disagree! I really like it and I am a really pale person! However if you are one of those who don't like a light shade there is such a diverse range of shades in Tanya's collection so there's a shade for everyone. I definitely reccomend you take a look at Tanya' lip glosses if you haven't already because they are so great!

The third lip product I have been loving is this SuperDry lip glaze in the shade 'Punk Pink'. I got this for Christmas in a set with a nail polish.
It costs £10 for the nail polish and lip glaze set, but on it's own a lip glaze would be £7.50 so I think it's really good value to buy the 'lip&tip' set together.
The lip glaze is a really bright pink shade and very pigmented so I definitely wouldn't reccomend that you put very much on unless you wanted a really bold pink lip. The good thing is because it is a lip glaze it is really easy to apply and spread across your lip with the brush. At first I thought it looked really complicated compared to my simple lipglosses but it is actually a really clever design and I love it!

I hope you enjoyed reading about some lip products I have been loving lately! Make sure you follow my blog over on bloglovin' for more blogposts and also comment below your favourite lip product and any reccomendations you have!

February Haul | Jack Wills, Hollister, Soap and Glory & More!

Sunday, March 01, 2015

This month I have been shopping and bought quite a few clothing and beauty items that I thought I would show you.

First of all I went into Superdrug and bought one of Tanya Burr's lip glosses in the shade "Afternoon Tea". This was my favourite shade they had in as it is a lovely light pink. I have used it a couple of times since I bought it and it feels really nice and it my favourite lip gloss at the moment - it isn't too pink and doesn't dry your lips. I love this lipgloss so much, especially because it was from Tanya's range!

I then went to Jack Wills and I bought a few things there. I bought a navy blue vest with 'Jack Wills' written on it in pink lettering. It was £16.50 which I thought was a really good price for Jack Wills as they are usually more expensive than Hollister and Superdry but that vest was actually cheaper. It is such good quality though, as I would expect from Jack Wills, it is so soft and I feel like it will wash really well. It is also really comfortable on too.
I then bought a t-shirt which is a very light pink shade with 'Wills' embroidered onto it. This was £24.50 which is the avarage Jack Wills t-shirt price so I'd expect to pay that much as it is really good quality and it is embroidered instead of printed on.
I also really desperately needed a bag for PE at school so I bought one of their book bag style bags. It was £12.50 and is the pink and blue striped pattern with Jack Wills on it. It fits so much in and I really like it.

Next up was Superdry and I only bought one t-shirt as I do own quite a lot of superdry already. They had 3 for 2 on graphic t-shirts so me, my mum and my dad all got one each. I wanted a lighter coloured one as I don't really wear dark t-shirts so I got this one which I think is a really light grey and I love the design on it so I can't wait to wear it.

I also bought two vests from Hollister. These are more for summer but I really liked the designs on them so I thought I would buy them now while they still stock them. They were £19 each and the first one is white with a floral print on it saying Hollister in the middle and the second one is black with 01 Hollister co. embroidered on it. I love them both and can't wait to wear them.

Finally on a different shopping trip with my friend we went into Boots and there was a 3 For 2 offer on quite a lot of their products, including Soap and Glory. It is still on for another couple of weeks and is on many products in the store on many different brands so I recommend you head over to Boots and see what they have on offer. My friend really likes Soap and Glory but I'd actually never bought anything from there! So as I'd not bought anything I tried some of the mini products to start with. I bought one of the Hand Maid anti-bacterial gels and a mini Clean On Me shower gel as my friend really wanted me to try it out. They smell amazing so I can't wait to use them. If you use Soap and Glory products I'd love to hear your reccomendations of what I should buy next!

So that's everything I've bought recently! Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it and make sure you comment what you've bought this month in the comments section below!
